Viet United Outclass Brewventus with commanding performance
In a thrilling encounter, Viet United secured an emphatic 8-4 victory over Brewventus, showcasing their attacking prowess and dominance throughout the match.
The opening five minutes were eventful, with the Brewventus goalkeeper being called into action multiple times but he managed to keep Viet United at bay. However, Viet United’s persistence paid off in the 7th minute when Trung Quang Huynh found himself with plenty of space after a well-placed ball over the top from his teammate. He calmly slotted the ball through the goalkeeper’s legs to open the scoring.
Brewventus responded swiftly, equalizing in the 9th minute with a wonderful finish from Jason Rai. They took the lead just a minute later through a superb goal by Himanish Goyal, making it 2-1.
This setback sparked Viet United into action, and they started dominating possession. They equalized almost immediately, with Phonesavanh Phoutthavongsa finishing excellently from a great cross. Cong Tuan Nguyen added two more goals to the tally, first toe-poking the ball into the net after a solo run and then finishing a terrific team move with a cheeky back-heel, bringing the score to 8-2.
Brewventus found some attacking momentum in the final 10 minutes. Jason Rai scored with a great header from a long throw-in to make it 8-3, and then completed his hat-trick with a brilliant finish as the ball struck both posts before going in, making the final score 8-4.
Despite Brewventus’ late efforts, Viet United’s dominance throughout the match was clear, and their clinical finishing secured them a deserved victory. With this victory, Viet United strengthened their lead on the 4th position in the league. They now have 4 wins from 7 matches.
