Viet United go top of the league after 9 goal clean sheet

Following a bizarre previous game where the game was called to a halt early after a dispute with an opposition player and the ref, Viet United had a unique opportunity heading into today’s contest. Despite the abrupt end to the last matchday, Viet United picked up the win and were two points behind first placed, Brazcouver. A win against The Blue Pandas would put them at the top of the league for the first time this season. The only obstacle in front of them were the struggling, Blue Pandas. They entered action following five consecutive losses and were in danger of leaving another matchday pointless.

In typical Viet United fashion, they came out of the gates fast, scoring 3 goals in 6 minutes. After conceding early, The Blue Pandas were able to hold off the Viet United attack and had a few chances of their own. Two near misses of the post and a great goalkeeper save was the difference between The Blue Pandas being goalless and getting onto the scoresheet. The team would have a break to discuss what went wrong as the half-time whistle was blown with Viet United leading 3-0. After a busy start, the 1st half quieted down with neither team being able to add to their score tally.

Phan scored his first goal of the game to open up the 2nd half scoring for Viet United after holding off two Blue Panda defenders to slot a goal past the goalkeeper’s near post. Immediately following the goal, Chung put some dribble moves on a Viet United defender but put the ball just past the right post. In the 29th minute, Viet United made it 5-0 after an open net tap-in from Rmah. A flurry of goals followed when Tinh scored  his first goal in the 31st minute. Two more goals followed from Tinh in minute 36 and 39 to finish off his hat-trick in 9 minutes. Nguyen capped off the Viet United scoring in the 41st minute after a Blue Panda giveaway in their own half.

Ultimately, this game was another day at the office for the scorching Viet United. They’ve won three straight games and continue their run of scoring three or more goals in every game. With this win, Viet United are the undisputed best team in the league as they sit alone at the top of the table. For The Blue Pandas, this is another in a long line of thrashings. There are a lot of questions for them, although it looks unclear if they have any answers.
