Unmeggable FC pick up first win after seven goal spree

Unmeggable FC have picked up their first win of the season after a convincing 7-2 win against Burnaby Offside FC. Led by Brandyn Cheung’s four goals, Unmeggable FC finally got that elusive win.

From the beginning of the game, Unmeggable FC immediately started their attack. In the 10th minute, John Lim opened the scoring when Unmeggable FC quickly entered the opposition’s half and Lim was played through for a clinical finish. Six minutes later, Cheung added to the scoring when Unmeggable FC turned defense to offense with Cheung having an easy finish at the front of the net. Just before half-time, in the 22nd and 24th minute, Lim and Cheung combined for two more goals to extend the lead to 4-0. Two more opportunities for Unmeggable FC led to them both getting another chance to score from close range.

After half-time, the same pattern followed as Unmeggable FC were the first team to get on the board in the second half. Once again, Unmeggable FC entered Burnaby Offside’s half with little resistance and Nakwon Choi had free range for a simple and routine finish. In the 35th minute, Burnaby Offside FC finally answered back with a goal of their own, courtesy of Aryan Pant. From a corner, the ball miraculously found the back of the net from an extremely tight angle. Four minutes later, Theo Boucherie scored for Burnaby Offside FC to make it 5-2. Directly from a goal kick, the ball made its way to Boucherie and despite having multiple defenders draped all over him, he calmly slotted the ball into the net. Just before the end of the game, Cheung made sure there was no chance of a comeback by Burnaby Offside when he scored his third and fourth goal in the 47th and 49th minute.

After a draw and a loss in their first two games, Unmeggable FC finally get a win after a very dominant effort. For Burnaby Offside FC, they are still without a win and will look for a more positive result in the coming weeks.
