Unmeggable FC net 13 to pick up 3rd win

Unmeggable FC were back in action after having the previous week off. They defeated Average Joes 16-2 in their last match and were in the midst of a 2-game win streak. After picking up just one point in their first two games, Unmeggable FC were flipping the narrative and slowly climbing up the table. Their opponents, The Blue Pandas, had a close loss against GI and Friends after a near comeback. The Blue Pandas were yet to record a point and sat alone in bottom place.

Unmeggable FC started the game with all the chances and Cheung scored their 1st goal in the 5th minute. A team effort and a string of passes resulted in Unmeggable FC getting on the board first. In the 7th minute, an Unmeggable FC player was fouled in front of the penalty box and a free kick was called. Suri played the free kick at Das, who was lonely on the back post and he calmly slotted home the ball and it was 2-0. Immediately after, Unmeggable FC made it 3-0 Thanks to Takahashi and The Blue Pandas responded to cut the lead to 2. Pedro’s pass across the penalty area was tucked in by Licandro. A spree of goals by Unmeggable FC followed and by the time the 23rd minute rolled around, the score was 8-1. Just before half-time, The Blue Pandas scored their 2nd and final goal but that goal was barely a consolation as it was 8-2 at half-time. 

To start the 2nd half, The Blue Pandas had chances and were able to hold off Unmeggable FC’s attack until the 30th minute when Takahashi scored their 9th goal and his third goal in the game. Unmeggable FC continued their attack for the remainder of the 2nd half and were running rings around The Blue Pandas. They had an odd chance here or there but it was pure dominance from Unmeggable FC. After goals of Cheung (39′), who completed his hat-trick, Choi (48′), Cheung (49′) again and Suri (50′) the game was called to halt at 13-2. 

Unmeggable FC continue their run of good form, picking up their 3rd straight win. Coming off their last convincing win, Unmeggable FC have scored 29 goals in their last two games and only conceded 4 goals. However, for The Blue Pandas, this game was another in a long line of losses. The team is still searching for their first win –or points– and the former seems to be slipping further away with each game.
