Unmeggable FC cruise to victory against Brownies

Unmeggable FC cruised to victory for their third consecutive win after defeating the Brownies 7-4. Led by three goal scorers, Unmeggable FC hit seven or more goals for the fourth time this season.

Immediately from the opening whistle, Unmeggable FC started their overwhelming attacking play as they went up 3-0 inside the first two minutes. The first goal of the game was scored in the first minute by Nakwon Choi. Unmeggable FC were awarded a free kick and his low-driven shot went past everyone and into the net. Just after the first goal, Choi scored again, this time with a simple in front of goal to guide the ball into the net. Unmeggable FC were all over the Brownies, leaving them unable to exit their own half as Unmeggable FC applied a successful press. They worked their way back to the front of the net for Michael Jang to blast the ball into the top corner of the net.

After Unmeggable FC’s opening dominance, the Brownies were determined to make their mark on the game. They did exactly that when they scored two consecutive goals in the 3rd minute and 6th minute. They scored their first goal when Jenissa Flood rebounded a shot that was originally saved, and poked it into the goal. Three minutes later, the Brownies doubled their goal scoring tally when Rtvik Nambiar intercepted the ball to run clean through onto goal for a tidy finish. Following the Brownies first two goals, they were back on the attack in the 19th minute, scoring the equalizer. A corner was played right into the head of an unmarked Tanio Blasio for a headed finish to make it 3-3. However, just before half-time, the deadlock was broken when Brandon Cheung scored for Unmeggable FC. His quick and precise finish proved to be too fast as the ball was drilled into the corner of the net in the 23rd minute.

After the half-time break, Unmeggable FC did all they could to restore the sizable lead they had in the first half. In the 26th minute, Choi was in the middle of the action again, scoring his hat-trick with a clean and crisp shot. As shots and chances came for Unmeggable FC, the lead also grew. In the 44th minute and 50th minute, Brandon Cheung was in the right place at the right time for two simple rebound chances that he easily scored to push the Unmeggable lead to four goals. One minute later, with one of the last kicks of the game, Blasio was on clean-up duty for his second goal of the game as a consolation in the dying moments.

Simply put, Unmeggable FC outclassed their opponents just as they’ve done countless times this season. After another victory by a sizeable margin, they look to have fully picked up momentum and are in the groove of the season.
