Unmeggable FC cruise past Burnaby Offside in semi-final

Unmeggable FC are heading to the season final after defeating Burnaby Offside FC by a whopping scoring of 10-3 in the semi-final.

Like they usually do, Unmeggable FC began their attack as soon as the first whistle was blown. They came into the game, guns blazing, with their attack providing excitement from minute one. Unmeggable FC stormed into Burnaby Offside’s half and their first shot hit the post but attempted clearance fell into the feet of Nakwon Choi who made no mistake to open up the scoring. In the 6th minute, Unmeggable FC doubled their advantage when Brandyn Cheung entered the half with finesse and drilled the ball along the floor and into the net. The attack was too easy for Unmeggable FC as Cheung added another goal in the 11th minute.

Three minutes later, Unmeggable FC were back on the attack with their persistent offense to score another goal. They effortlessly turned defense into offense with the ball falling into the path of Ren Huang who had a simple finish in front of the net. Before the half could end, Brandyn Cheung added one more goal for Unmeggable FC to secure his hat-trick and give his team a comfortable five goal lead heading into the break.

Following half-time, Burnaby Offside FC were hoping to make a bigger imprint on the second half. In the opening minute of the half, the ball was sent into the box and Theo Boucherie got his head on the end of it to finally get Burnaby Offside FC on the board.

Unmeggable FC answered back with four consecutive goals to increase the lead, starting with Cheung in the 29th minute. In the 37th minute, Huang joined Cheung as another multi-goal scorer when he intercepted the ball and caught the goalkeeper off of his line to score Unmeggable FC’s seventh goal. In the 44th minute and the 45th minute, Choi scored two more goals to get his hat-trick. He rushed into the opposition’s half with speed to drill two shots into the back of the net.

In the 48th minute, both Unmeggable FC and Burnaby Offside FC scored. First, it was Boucherie scoring his second goal of the game. The ball was played to a wide open Boucherie in front of the net for an easy tap-in goal. Just mere seconds later, Unmeggable FC were back on the attack. Ignatius Masvikeni made a quick run towards goal and received the ball for a straight forward finish. Before the game could end, one more mishap would happen as after a Burnaby Offside FC goal kick, Choi got his head on the ball but towards to the wrong net as he scored an own goal to cap the scoring at 10-3 in favor of Unmeggable FC.

To no one’s surprise, Unmeggable FC once again rolled through their opponent en route to another dominant victory. They will play the Brownies in the final on Sunday; do they have one more great performance in them?
