Stranger Danger record clean sheet in first win of the season

After a heavy loss in the opening matchweek, Stranger Danger bounced back with a convincing 8-0 win over Winter FC.

Stranger Danger returned for their second game with a new name and a new demeanor, leading to their first win. As opposed to their first game, they immediately got on the right track, scoring in the second minute of the game. Winter FC left too much space in front of their net, and Stranger Danger had a free goal. Immediately after, Danger kept their foot in the gas pedal, resulting in another goal just four minutes later. It was more dire defending from Winter FC, and Danger drilled the ball into the right side of the net to take a 2-0 lead. The two teams continued to trade punches in the first half, with both sides getting quality chances to add more ink to the scoresheet. However, it was Stranger Danger increasing the lead to 4-0 before half-time. In the 20th minute, Danger were back on the attack, and Boden Chretien miraculously dribbled past the Winter defense for the third goal of the game. Just two minutes later, a 50/50 ball was played into the box and Stranger Danger were the winners, awkwardly sending the ball into the net for a four goal lead heading into the break.

Heading into the second half, it was the exact same from Stranger Danger: more attack. They continued their strong offense to begin the second half, and it paid off in the 28th minute. It was Chretien back on the attack, drilling another shot into the net for his second goal and to extend the lead to 5-0. The goals kept coming in the second half, with Stranger Danger leaving no room for Winter FC to breathe. They continued the same dominance they had for the entire game, up until the final whistle. Once the game was over the lead grew to 8-0, securing the first win of the season for Stranger Danger.

Following their horrific loss in the first game of the season, Stranger Danger recovered in the best way possible, delivering a big win of their own. With this win, they’ll pick up some huge confidence heading into the rest of the season. For Winter FC, this will be their second consecutive loss to open the season, and they’ll need to have more fight in the weeks to come.
