Serbia United remain undefeated after win over Coracran

Serbia United have picked up their third consecutive win after defeating FC Coracran 5-1 to remain at the top of the table.

Early on, Bojan Samardzija opened up the scoring for Serbia United. He got past multiple defenders and had enough room to drill a shot into the top corner to lead 1-0. 10 minutes later, Abraham Ayón equalized the game after an FC Coracran free kick and he got above everyone else to head the ball into the net. However, the tie was short-lived as Serbia United went back in front in the 13th minute. They had a free kick on the right side of the penalty box and the ball was played on the ground to Sasha Vukovic for an easy tap-in. The remainder of the first half was filled with chances for both teams but neither could add to their goal tally.

It took over 10 minutes for anyone to get the first goal of the second half and it came from Serbia United to make it 3-1. Bojan Samardzija doubled his scoring following a quick Serbia United counter attack and he was mere yards in front of goal to score. Mike Lazarevic scored his first goal of the game in the 44th minute. Similar to other goals scored in this fixture, Lazarevic scored for Serbia United from a free kick that was powered over the hands of the goalkeeper. Two minutes later, Samardzija put his final mark on the game by scoring his hat-trick with a creative effort, scoring directly from a corner and catching the goalkeeper off guard.

With a game full of set piece goals, Serbia United moved to 3 wins and 0 losses, staying as the top team in the league. FC Coracran will hope that their form changes in the weeks after losing two consecutive games.
