Semi-final 1: MFC Dynamo def. Pathetico Madrid

MFC Dynamo have defeated Pathetico Madrid 10-1 in the first semi-final and will be advancing to the final. MFC Dynamo scored ten unanswered goals to put the game out of reach and to clinch their final berth.

In typical league fashion, the scoring began quickly, this time in the 3rd minute. Ironically, it was Pathetico Madrid who scored the first goal. An early foul was committed by MFC Dynamo, resulting in a penalty for Madrid. Sean Hale made no mistake and powered the ball into the net from the spot to give his team the lead. Less than two minutes later, MFC Dynamo returned the attack and equalised the game. The ball was awfully cleared by the Pathetico Madrid goalkeeper. Instead of ridding the ball, it was played into the path of Vaclav Cahyna and a gentle chip was enough to guide the ball into the net. Miguel Torres added to the Dynamo lead in the 8th minute. A series of passes by MFC Dynamo had their opponents chasing which allowed Torres to get off a shot with little pressure to score the team’s second goal.

In the 18th minute, Felipe Rech became the third goal scorer for MFC Dynamo when he scored their third goal. Once again, MFC Dynamo entered the opposition half rapidly and clinically and there was nothing Madrid could do to stop it. The ball was played across goal and into Rech who extended the lead to 3-1. In the 22nd minute, another goalkeeper led to an MFC Dynamo goal. Torres cleaned up the goalkeeper’s error with an easy kick into a wide open net for his second goal of the game. On the brink of half-time, Cahyna joined Torres with his brace. He made his way right in front of goal and scored with power to give MFC Dynamo a 4-1 lead into half-time.

Out of the gates of half-time, MFC Dynamo continued their offensive dominance, scoring just one minute into the second half. Following a corner, the ball rolled its way to Robert Koval before the ball was slashed across the ground, past the keeper’s grasp and into the bottom left corner of the net. Three minutes later, another attempt at a clearance by Pathetico Madrid went only as far as the nearest Dynamo player which allowed them to enter the half with fury again. Another set of quick passes led to Torres getting a clean look on goal to secure his hat-trick and the 7-1 lead for MFC Dynamo. They added to their lead once again in the 31st minute, this time scored by Jan Fillo. He was left unmarked in the penalty area which allowed for the easiest of finishes. Eight minutes later, he doubled his scoring tally. Another precise run led to him receiving the ball and he let the shot off before the defense could react. In the 43rd minute, an MFC Dynamo free kick gave them their tenth and final goal of the game. The ball was passed into the box for Rech for an easy tap-in.

With this win, MFC Dynamo advanced to the final while Pathetico Madrid will play for third place. MFC Dynamo ended the regular season with 8 wins, 2 losses, 84 goals scored and 36 goals allowed. Unfortunately for Pathetico Madrid, they ended the season in last place and, up to this point, with zero wins.
