Romania net 11 in comfortable win over Brewventus

Romania FC scored 11 goals in a high-scoring win against Brewventus. Led by four from Jordan Marini, Romania glided to another win.

Brewventus opened up the scoring in the 5th minute. A throw-in was thrown into the box and Romania were unable to clear, and Rohil Patel pounced on the ball to give Brewventus the early 1-0 lead. Although, they wouldn’t have the lead for long as Romania equalized one minute later. A ball was sent towards goal and then redirected into the net to tie the game at 1-1. Romania kept the attack coming, taking the lead in the 10th minute. Daniel Caraiman made a run to the net and received the ball for an easy finish. An errant pass from Brewventus three minutes later led to another attack from Romania, with Caraiman scoring his brace from the exact same spot for the quick 3-1 advantage. In the 17th minute, Jordan Marini was left unmarked on the edge of the box and easily scored the first of his four goals. Some more dire defending from Brewventus led to another goal from Romania. It was deja vu of the fourth goal, with this time Vikash Raniga making a similar run in the 19th minute to extend the lead to four goals. One minute later, just before half-time, Brewventus added their second goal with a clean headed finish to cut the lead to 5-2.

Both teams opened up the second half with the same attack mindset, with Brewventus scoring first in the 27th minute. The Romania goalkeeper couldn’t get enough on the ball to affect the shot as it fell into the back of the net for Brewventus’ third goal. Romania came back with an attack of their own in the following minute. They effortlessly entered Brewventus’ half and Ilias Bocolas created enough space for himself to drill the ball into the back of the net. In the 28th minute, Marini dribbled through not one but three defenders and made a terrific solo run towards the net, finishing the play with his second goal of the contest. Marini came back in the 31st and 32nd minute with the ball glued to his feet again to secure his third and fourth goals of the game and to practically clinch the win for Romania. Romania left no space for Brewventus to breathe, continuing to pour on the attack with Bocolas adding his second goal in the 33rd minute. Brewventus finally put an end to the riot in the 35th minute, scoring two consecutive goals to cut the deficit to four goals, but it proved to not matter as Romania walked away with a convincing 11-7 win.

Despite the scoreline flattering Brewventus, this was a clear-cut win for Romania as the result of the game was never in doubt. Romania have started the season in tremendous form and continue to prove themselves as one of the elite teams this season.
