MFC Dynamo Victorious In Season Opener
MFC Dynamo cruised to victory in the opening match of the 2023 season with a 6-2 victory over South Army FC. They joined Serbia United as the first two teams to record a win.
Henry Kasimir opened the scoring for South Army FC to give them an early 1-0 lead in the 8th minute. South Army got right in front of the goal and the ball was played across goal to Kasimir. He had a wide open goal in front of him and easily tapped in the game’s opener. Despite the quick start from South Army, MFC Dynamo answered back in an equally fast start just one minute later. Jan Machala’s shot from well outside the penalty box was drilled past the goalkeeper’s grasp to even the score at one goal apiece.
After MFC’s equalizer, it would prove to be the beginning of the end for South Army as MFC Dynamo scored three consecutive goals. In the 17th minute, there was an exquisite long ball played into the box for MFC Dynamo and Vaclav Cahyna got his head on it to knock the ball into the net and give his team the lead. Just three minutes later in the 20th minute, Michal Stehlik expertly dribbled past multiple South Army defenders and then gently squeezed the ball into the goal. At half-time, MFC Dynamo led by three goals to one.
Immediately to begin the second half, it followed the same story as the first half with both MFC Dynamo and South Army FC scoring within a minute of each other, this time in the 27th and 28th minute. Vaclav Cahyna got his name on the scoresheet for the second time in the game when MFC Dynamo refused to let South Army leave their half and Cahyna comically walked the ball into the net. 60 seconds later, Steven Zhang for South Army cut the deficit to two with South Army’s second and final goal of the game.
In the 32nd minute, Cahyna capped off his hat-trick with a simple and patient finish from outside of the penalty area. The final goal of the game was scored by Stefan Lukacovsky for MFC Dynamo in the 35th minute to make it 6-2. He received the ball on a counter attack with no one marking him and he had the easy task of putting the ball past the keeper.
MFC Dynamo rolled to victory in the first game of the new season and look to be one of the better teams in the league. Their combination of skill and finesse to be too much for their opposition to handle. South Army FC may have lost their opener but have plenty of positives to take into the following weeks.
