MFC Dynamo secure 4th win after nine goal outburst

MFC Dynamo defeated FC Twente Benson 9-4 in the 7th matchweek to secure their fourth win of the season. Led by David Danko’s hat-trick, MFC Dynamo steamrolled past FC Twente Benson, a team they had split the last two meetings with.

David Danko scored the game’s opening goal in the 5th minute but that goal was canceled out three minutes when FC Twente Benson dissected through MFC Dynamo’s half with a ball played directly to Ruairi Bradley which gently passed the keeper’s grasp. Back in front MFC Dynamo went in the 12th minute from a cheeky touch by Danko that went through the goalkeeper’s legs. In the 16th minute, Jason Campion scored to even the game but MFC Dynamo answered back with two goals in two minutes. The ball fell to Vaclav Cahyna which the shot proved to be too strong after being put convincingly into the bottom corner. A minute later, another powerful strike from MFC Dynamo, courtesy of Miguel Torres, was blasted high and into the net. A high scoring first half tally saw MFC Dynamo leading 4-2 at the break.

The first goal of the second came immediately following the opening whistle. FC Twente Benson were forced into a turnover in front of their own goal, allowing Michael Stehlik, with little pressure, to score his first and MFC Dynamo’s fifth goal. A minute after Stehlik’s strike, quick and wonderful build-up play led to David Danko getting a clean look on goal for his hat-trick. MFC Dynamo continued to cruise as Stehlik’s header went over the goalkeeper’s head and trickled into the net before the goalkeeper could recover.

FC Twente Benson did interrupt MFC Dynamo’s scoring spree in the 32nd minute when Oliver Hogan made the goalkeeper tumble to where he dribbled the ball past the fallen keeper and placed the ball into the net. Unfortunately for FC Twente Benson, an own goal was scored in the 37th minute which increased the MFC Dynamo lead to 8-3. MFC Dynamo wrapped up their scoring in the 41st minute when a shot that hit the post originally, Cahyna rebounded and put into the net. The last imprint on the game would be from FC Twente Benson as they made the scoreline look more flattering. Michael Godley made the most of a goalkeeper error which led to an open net goal to cement the final score as 9-4 in favour of MFC Dynamo.

With this win, MFC Dynamo grabbed their fourth win overall after previously losing two in a row. They also now have the best goals scored tally with 50 goals scored. In contrast, FC Twente picked up their third win of the season and are looking for a bounce back game before a losing streak starts.
