MFC Dynamo score 13 in convincing victory

MFC Dynamo have secured their seventh win of the season after their impressive 13-4 win against Cuventus. Five players had two goals or more en route to the win. MFC Dynamo improve to 7-2 on the season while their opponents drop to 6-3.

A hyperactive game on attack, the contest was filled with seventeen goals, nine of which came in the first half. Just two minutes in, the game’s opener was scored by Robert Koval for MFC Dynamo after a quick counter attack guided a chance into his path and was cleanly put away. Five minutes after the first goal –following chances for both teams– Cuventus’ equaliser came from common goalscorer, Damien Lacey. A standard through ball somehow made its way through Dynamo’s defense to a wide-open Lacey for a routine finish.

For the next few goals, there was a lot of back of forth. In the 13th minute, Michael Hickey gave Cuventus the lead with a superb strike. From the half-way line, he caught the goalkeeper off his line and chipped the ball over everyone with the ball comfortably finding the back of the net. However, the tremendous effort was canceled out only two minutes later when Koval’s follow-up in front of goal equalized the game at 2-2. Yet, one minute after the equaliser, Cuventus scored again to once again take the lead. This time, it was Donal Fenton who got on the end of a small scuffle yards away from the net to score Cuventus’ third goal of the game.

The first fifteen minutes of the game followed the theme of ‘anything you can do, I can do better’ until MFC Dynamo started to pull away, scoring eleven of the game’s final twelve shared goals. MFC Dynamo’s control of the game started in the 17th minute when they scored four goals in six minutes from Ben Royles, Michael Stehlík, Dominik Sedlar and Vaclav Cahyna. Royles faced zero defensive attention as he was allowed to walk into Cuventus’ half and fire a shot at his own pace that found the back of the net to tie the game at 3-3.

Two minutes later, Stehlík wonderfully dribbled past two Cuventus, the ball looking like it was attached to a string, and through the keeper’s legs the ball went. In the 21st minute, MFC Dynamo were yet again allowed to move freely through the Cuventus half, leading to Sedlar launching a shot too difficult for any of the backline to get in the way of. MFC Dynamo’s last imprint on the first half was by Cahyna who pushed a Cuventus defender off the ball right in front of the net which allowed him to dribble around the keeper for the team’s sixth goal. MFC Dynamo dominated to take a three goal lead into half-time that was already worthy of the win.

The second half, much like its predecessor, was filled with goals. Although, it was abundantly more one-sided. MFC Dynamo continued their dominance with their first goal of the second coming in the 32nd minute from Stehlík. He speedily got into Cuventus’ half and once easily slotted the ball into the net for his second goal of the game. In the 34th minute, Damien Lacey scored for Cuventus. His quick strike caught the keeper off guard to score Cuventus’ final goal of the game.

For the remainder of the game, MFC Dynamo continued their ruthless attack, resulting in Michael Stehlík, Felipe Rech, Vaclav Cahyna and Ben Royles all getting multiple goals. Two goals came in successive minutes in the 38th and 39th minute from Stehlík to secure his hat-trick and from Rech for his first of the game. Both goals came from very close to the net, allowing for two easy goals. Rech scored his second goal just minutes later when he received outside the penalty area and scored with power and precision.

Similar to his teammate, Vaclav Cahyna gained his hat-trick when he scored two consecutive goals in the 43rd and 45th minute. The first was an incredibly unorthodox goal as he scored directly from a corner, catching every player off guard. The second was a much more straightforward finish as he received the ball in front of an open net for a simple tap-in. Ben Royles rounded off the scoring in the 49th minute as his one-touch finish was MFC Dynamo’s thirteenth and his second goal of the game.

This scoring display has moved MFC Dynamo into the sole position of first place and catapulted their goal difference to 39 which is 20 higher than Cuventus’. MFC Dynamo sits at 21 points while 2nd place Cuventus sits at 18 points. This is a determined win for Dynamo while a rare blowout for Cuventus.
