Los Panchos see win in first game after abrupt ending

In their first game of the season, Los Panchos had a convincing 5-2 win over Brewventus in a game that had to be cut short.

Los Panchos wasted no time, beginning the game with a lot of attack which resulted in the first goal of the game in the 9th minute. Brewventus originally did a good job of stopping the attack with a couple of saves and blocks, but Los Panchos were there to clean up their misses. They kept the attack coming, scoring their second goal three minutes later. Los Panchos made quick work of the Brewventus defense for a slick finish in front of the net. For the rest of the first half Los Panchos had all the dominance with their possession and shots and Brewventus had no answer for them as Los Panchos got everything they wanted. Just as half-time came rolling around, Los Panchos were sure to add one more goal in the 23rd minute and created a counter attack, and once again their pressure was too much for Brewventus to handle. After pure domination, Los Panchos took a 3-0 lead into the break.

When the second half began, Brewventus were determined to not fall behind as they scored the opening goal of the second half. Uzair Buksh scored a tremendous goal and dribbled around multiple Los Panchos defenders before drilling a low driven shot into the goal, ruining the clean sheet. Brewventus showed a lot more fight in the second half, working hard for 50/50 balls and proving they had the stamina to keep up with their opponents. In the 35th minute, that persistence paid off when Tanish Garg blew past the defender in front of him and finished off a great build-up play from Brewventus to cut the lead to 3-2. However, that lead would be extended three minutes later. It might have taken Los Panchos some time to find their footing in the second half, but once they did it put the game out of reach. Scoring in the 38th minute and 43rd minute secured the win for Los Panchos in their opening game of the year. Immediately after Los Panchos’ fifth goal, the lights on the field turned off and the game was forced to a halt.

It didn’t matter if it was Los Panchos’ first game, they proved their prowess as one of the top teams so far, even if it was an unorthodox win. For Brewventus, they have a few good things to build as they get closer to a positive result.
