Galacticos complete incredible comeback in 14 goal thriller against Unmeggable FC

This encounter between Galacticos and Unmeggable FC had all the recipes to be an entertaining affair, with Unmeggable FC returning for another season of coed action. It took 10 minutes for the first goal of the game to be scored, with Unmeggable FC breaking the deadlock. They made use of a Galacticos turnover and turned it into a quick goal to open up the scoring. The rest of the first half was back and forth between both teams, and after countless action, Unmeggable FC doubled and then tripled the lead in the 24th and 25th minute. Unmeggable FC were able to quickly escape their half, creating an attack of their own. They played the ball to the edge of the box and calmly slotted it into the net. Just one minute later, Unmeggable FC were awarded a free kick and instead of shooting, the ball was passed across the face of goal and then placed past the goalkeeper’s touch for a 3-0 lead heading into half-time. 

Once the second half started, it was really the invitation for most of the goals to be scored. In the 28th minute, Galacticos finally got on the board with a ridiculously high-arching shot which somehow found the back of the net. Once Galacticos scored their first goal, Unmeggable FC left off where they started, extending the lead to 5-1 by the 32nd minute.

Staring at a four goal deficit, Galacticos were determined to put up a fight to end the game. Not only did they create a respectable scoreline, they created a comeback to instill confidence back in the team. By the 46th minute, they’d somehow get back in the game, with the score being 5-5. Just under five minutes remained and after looking dead and buried, it was an even game again. However, Unmeggable FC didn’t take too well to the score, as they went ahead in the 48th minute. Galacticos were on the attack and lost the ball with Nakwon Choi sprinting to the ball and ending the play with a great finish. Immediately from kick-off, Galacticos sent an incredible shot from the center circle towards the net, which dipped just enough to go under the bar and through the goalkeeper’s hands. 

Only two minutes were left and the game was all even. It was still anyone’s game. Over 30 seconds passed before Galacticos found the winner to seal the miraculous comeback win. They added one more goal in the 50th minute, and there was no time for another goal to be scored as they won the game 8-6. This was a tremendous display of resiliency for Galacticos, and they’ll have no fear of any task as the weeks continue to progress after beating the odds this week.
