FC Twente Benson dominate with eight goals

FC Twente Benson have picked up their 2nd consecutive win after defeating UBC Individuals 8-5.

FC Twente Benson have collected two wins in a row following their 12-1 loss to MFC Dynamo to start the season. They defeated Cuventus 4-0 last week and moved to 2-1 on the season. Campion was the driving force behind the win as he scored half of the team’s goals. The UBC Individuals entered action following two straight losses.

Immediately following the start of the game, FC Twente Benson went right on the attack. In the first minute, Campion spectacularly came up with the first goal of the game following a few dribble moves and a spin to get away from multiple defenders for an easy shot into the net. Two minutes later, Cian found himself in front of a wide open net after the UBC Individual goalkeeper went wandering trying to follow a cross. Cian had the easy task of putting the ball into the goal to double Twente Benson’s lead.

However, their offensive dominance did not stop there. After countless chances in the minutes following their opening two goals, Campion increased his scoring tally to four with two goals in three minutes in the 15th and 17th minute. The UBC Individual defense was below par, leaving Campion unmarked which allowed him to get in front of goal with no resistance for two more easy goals.

Following four consecutive goals from FC Twente Benson, the UBC Individuals answered back with their first goal of the game in the 21st minute. They entered the half with great speed and PIgott helped direct the ball into the net to make it 4-1. At the brink of half-time, FC Twente had the last effort of the period when Campion scored to cap off his first half hat-trick.

Chances came left and right for both teams after half-time but it was FC Twente Benson who scored their sixth goal of the game in the 30th minute. Campion once again easily made his way in front of goal and put his laces through the ball to score his fifth goal inside half an hour.

After being exposed by Campion for the fifth time, the UBC Individuals answered back with two goals in two minutes. Both of the goals came from Pigott who first calmly slotted away a penalty then immediately following kick-off intercepted a pass to have a free run on goal.

To end FC Twente Benson’s scoring spree, Coffey scored two consecutive goals in the 36th and 40th minute. For the first goal, he made a speedy run to find himself alone on the right side of the goal while he received the ball in front of the goalkeeper and spun away into a wide open net for the second goal.

The UBC Individuals ended the game with two goals from Patchell and Pitcher to cut the deficit to 8-5. As time dwindled down, both players felt little to no defensive pressure which allowed Patchell to score only a few yards from goals and Pitcher was allowed to walk into the half to take a shot from outside the penalty area.

FC Twente Benson once again took a convincing, dominant win. They showed their offensive dominance and allowed little rebuttal from their opponents. However, the UBC individuals walked into their third straight loss. At times they showed an offensive spark but it proved to not be enough.
