You’ll be placed into a team of individual players or added to another if they are short on players. Individual players’ fees cover all expenses, including tax, membership, insurance, referees, highlights, etc.
You can also try your luck to find a team through our Find Teams or Players page! See if some teams are looking for players, or just fill out your name and contact information and say something about yourself! Maybe coaches will be looking just for you!
Would you like to become a referee?! Please let us know! We will be happy to give you more information about our program! If you’d like to apply, please click HERE!
We understand that sometimes the game can get heated, but please keep in mind, that all our referees are just people and MUST be treated with respect like any other humans! CML will always protect their referees! Unsporting behaviour toward referees might be penalized based on the severity stated in the Fines and Penalties!

Check the Canada Minifootball site and social media to find out if play will happen. If there is no news, games are being played as planned.
If games have to be called, all coaches and players will be notified by email.
A team that doesn’t show up for a game that Canada Minifootball has set up will be called a “no-show” and penalized by the Canada Minifootball No-Show policy. The policy is the same for everyone.
Sometimes, the league’s end date may be extended to accommodate make-up games, but this is not always possible. Teams will be compensated for any lost games if games cannot be made up.
If the season is cancelled before its start or during the season, the Cancellation Policy apply.
Players who are not listed on the team roster will not be allowed to participate in the event. Team rosters will be checked by a referee before each game.
A guide on how to build a roster as a Coach can be found on THIS page!
Unfortunately, drop-in players are not allowed in the competition unless:
- They have a team and are listed on the roster,
- Finalize the player registration to a team,
- Upload their government-issued ID or birth certificate,
- Sign and agree to the CML waiver and Code of conduct, and
- Pay the player registration fee.
Without these three steps, players will not be able to be added to the team roster and play in the competition!
CML categorizes players into 3 groups:
- Novice player – (0-2 years of playing soccer)
- Intermediate player – (3-9 years of playing soccer)
- Competitive player – (10+ years of playing soccer)
