Elite defense and attack helps Viet United win
After a scrappy 50 minutes, Viet United walked away with a 4-1 victory over Brewventus.
In a game full of tackles and shots, Viet United went head-to-head with Brewventus in a brash contest. The game began as usual with Viet United on the front foot, and within the third minute they had already taken the lead. They opened up Brewventus’ defense with ease, working themselves towards the front of the net for the game’s opener. After their first goal, Viet United weren’t satisfied with their shallow lead, as they added another goal one minute later. Trung Quang Huynh dribbled through multiple opponents before sending a shot into the back of the net to give his team a 2-0 lead.
Following the early deficit, Brewventus came back with multiple chances to cut into the lead. Their shots were sent left and right. Some were saved and some missed the target, but neither could find the inside of the goal as they continued to trail. Brewventus would regret not putting away their opportunities as in the ensuing minutes Viet United increased their advantage. When half-time came around the lead jumped out to 4-0 with Viet United proving they were quicker and fiercer with their play. Brewventus looked like they had no answer for their opponents, falling into a huge deficit after 25 minutes.
In the opening of the second half, Brewventus and Viet United couldn’t add to the scoresheet. The second half was filled with excitement with shots and expert dribbling, although the final play was lacking for either side. Even though Viet United carried a big lead, they were still trying to score more goals. However in the 38th minute, it was Brewventus who finally got on the board to ruin Viet United’s clean sheet. Rohil Patel dribbled down the wing of the field to create space for himself. He made use of the free room and sent the ball past the Viet United goalkeeper. That would be the last chance of the game for either team as Viet United went on to win 4-1.
With the playoffs coming soon, Viet United continue their momentum as they hope to finish the season on a high note. Brewventus are running out of time to produce a positive result.
