Close game sees Serbia United remain undefeated

Serbia United have defeated FC Coracran 2-1 in the lowest scoring game of the season to remain undefeated. 

To begin the game, both teams struggled to find any footing with plenty of missed chances in the opening ten minutes. It was not until the 12th minute that the first goal of the game would be scored. Asael Garcia for FC Coracran received the ball just outside the penalty box and let off a shot that was expertly placed into the net. After some cagey moments during the beginning of the game, it was FC Coracran who took the lead. Both team had a great deal of chances to score following Coracran’s opener but neither team could put the ball into the back of the net. After a closely fought first half, FC Coracran led 1-0 at half-time. 

Following half-time, more of the same patterns followed with both teams having chances but no one could put them away. In the 32nd minute, the game was finally equalized when Luka Baljak and Serbia United escaped some tight defending from FC Coracran to creatively get the ball into the net. After some tireless attack from Serbia United they finally got their equalizer. As the game winded down, it looked as if this matchup was heading into a tie but Sasha Vukovic had other ideas for Serbia United. At the dying moments of the game in the 50th minute, Serbia United entered FC Coracran’s half with speed for Vukovic to receive the ball in the box and take a turn before placing the ball into the net to seal the win for his team.

After a back-and-forth game, the drama went right to the final kick of the game with Serbia United taking their sixth win of the season, keeping their perfect record intact. Perhaps not a deserved result for FC Coracran but an admirable effort as they held Serbia United to their lowest scoring tally of the season.
