Burnaby Offside shut out Silverbacks in third straight win

Burnaby Offside FC are back in winning ways after defeating FC Silverbacks 4-0. They picked up their third win in a row as they slowly moved up the weekly rankings.

As soon as the game started, they were on the attack in the 1st minute. They quickly got into FC Silverbacks half and Andres Barrios got into prime scoring position for a simple and tidy finish that found the back of the net. FC Silverbacks had plenty of chances to equalize following the opener but it was Burnaby Offside who doubled the scoring in the 12th minute. It was Barrios again at the scene to score. Again, Burnaby Offside FC were quick and concise with their attack and after only a few passes were led right onto goal for Barrios to score.

Two minutes later, Theo Boucherie tripled the lead when he let off a shot that proved to be too strong as the goalkeeper got a touch on the ball only for it to fall into the net. In the 25th minute, Burnaby Offside FC returned with attacking fury, this time as the ball made its way to Paone in a tight angle where she blasted the ball into the top of the net to make it 4-0. Not only was that the last chance of the first half, but it was also the last game of the entire game. Both teams had chances in the final twenty five minutes but the second half score was 0-0.

Because of Burnaby Offside FC’s tremendous first half, the scoreless second half did nothing to worry their lead. After a less than ideal beginning of the season, Burnaby Offside FC are starting to pick up momentum and are growing in confidence with each passing week.
