Brazcouver take close win against Unmeggable FC

Entering action, Brazcouver and Unmeggable FC were in a similar position. They were both neck and neck with the teams next to them in the standings and looking to keep up with them. Brazcouver were still trailing first placed Viet United while Unmeggable FC were trying their best to keep up with FC Finesse.

Felipe started the scoring in the 4th minute after the ball was played directly to him and he easily slotted the ball into the bottom right corner. Rocha was shown the game’s first and only yellow card after he tripped up an Unmeggable player following an attack. Unfortunately, the free kick was told to be re-taken and the ball was placed high and over the crossbar. Luckily for Unmeggable FC, they got their equalizer in the 11th minute courtesy of Cheung. He took advantage of some passive play and intercepted the ball in the Brazcouver half. He turned on the jets and struck the ball into the net before Brazcouver could react.

Although, the lead was gone within a minute following a pass played right across goal from Rocha to Ramos de Jesus. Brazcouver doubled their lead in the 19th minute when Neves got his foot onto a high arching cross. Brazcouver continued to add to their lead in the 22nd minute after a three-on-two counter attack was practically unguardable. Rech had the easiest job of slotting the ball past the keeper. Brazcouver were the one’s leading at half-time, 4-1.

Out of the gates in the 2nd half, Unmeggable FC were back on the attack. They cut the deficit to two in the 25th minute. Suri was fired up after scoring his first goal of the game following a nice run into the Brazcouver half ending with a lovely finish. Three minutes later, in the 28th minute, Brazcouver added to their lead after a long shot was fumbled by the keeper and easily tapped in by Silva. However, Unmeggable FC would not go away. They scored another in the 35th minute when Suri notched his 2nd goal of the game as he calmly waited before blasting the ball past the goalkeeper.

Brazcouver scored their 6th and final goal in the 41st minute to seemingly put the game out of reach. Souza followed up a Brazcouver attack to slot in his first of the game. In the 49th minute, Masvikeni came back with a goal for Unmeggable FC after a Brazcouver pass was intercepted. Following kick-off, Unmeggable FC were back on the press and intercepted another pass with Nemri scoring. Brazcouver were on their heels but were ultimately saved by the final whistle, the final score being 6-5 in favour of Brazcouver.

This was one of the more exciting finishes of the season and Unmeggable FC proved they’re capable of hanging with the big boys. However, they did fall up short and this is yet another showcase of Brazcouver’s pure dominance. There’s takeaways for both teams here as Unmeggable’s unbeaten streak comes to an end and Brazcouver gets back to winning ways.
