Job Description

As a CML Journalist, you are responsible for capturing (recording) and uploading gameplay moments in minifootball (small-sided soccer) games. Videos are created using the Club’s software system to improve the player experience and as marketing and promotional content for social media and/or competitive gaming events.

CML Journalist is also responsible for conducting player interviews and writing game summaries. After each game, you will be required to complete a short 30-seconds to 1-minute interview with a selected player.

Comments from the interview will be integrated into your game summary report. In addition, the game summary will highlight key highlights of the game (chances, goals, failures, and special moments).

The CML website will feature all game summary reports and video highlights.

Core Duties

  • Arrive before the game to help with the game setup (field markers, trip-pod, setup the app software, ensure the teams are playing on the correct side of the field).
  • Video-record the game by using the Club’s software. The journalist is responsible for capturing and identifying your assigned games’ chances, goals, and memorable moments.
  • Conduct a post-game interview with one player.
  • Collect referee scorecards.
  • Upload the video recordings to the CML cloud.
  • Review the video for any bugs or incorrect highlight capture.
  • Create a post-game summary article with the integration of interview comments.

Equipment

The only thing you really need is your own smartphone, laptop, and access to the internet! Tripod will be supplied by the CML!
