FC RAWC come out with win in close game against South Army

FC RAWC are victorious after a close game, defeating South Army FC 4-2. It was a team effort as they outplayed their opponent to pick up the fourth win of the season.

The game started in fast fashion as both teams had opportunities to score from the opening minute. It took no time for the deadlock to be broken as both teams scored in the 4th minute. It was FC RAWC who scored first when they quickly entered South Army’s half with Herman Puga putting on a series of dribble moves to get free and let off a shot. Immediately following the goal, South Army FC were determined to equalize as soon as possible. They achieved exactly that as straight from kick-off, they attacked FC RAWC with speed and precision which led to Xiaofeng Sun dribbling through multiple opponents before his low-driven shot found the back of the net. Both teams battled neck and neck for the remainder of the first half with plenty of missed chances, brilliant defending and masterful saves. The deadlock could not be broken as the half-time whistle blew with the score tied at 1-1.

Following half-time, the same pattern followed as both teams had countless opportunities to take the lead but no one could. It was not until the 33rd minute when South Army finally took the lead. It was Xiaofeng Sun again who got in front of the net and tapped home a brilliant through ball pass to give his team the lead. Their lead was safe for approximately six minutes until Asael Garcia equalized in the 39th minute. FC RAWC worked from their penalty box to the opposition’s after facing little resistance which allowed Asael Garcia to shoot from a long way out, beating the goalkeeper. In the 43rd minute, FC RAWC kept their foot on the attack with Alexis Ayon scoring from a tight angle. His shot proved to be too strong and powerful as it hit the crossbar and went in. The finishing touches were put on by Jose Perez in the 46th minute. FC RAWC ran rings around South Army with the play ending with Perez in front of the net to easily put the ball away. After an attack-filled game, FC RAWC took home a 4-2 win.

With this win, FC RAWC picked up their fourth win of the season. They now have four wins, four losses and one draw, worthy of fourth place. For South Army, they received their seventh loss after another less than ideal performance.
