18 goal outing sees Serbia United take the win

FC Serbia United have defeated MFC Dynamo in the second match week of the season to pick up two consecutive victories. A high scoring 18 goal display saw Serbia United grab seven and the win. 

To begin the game both teams were on the attack, scoring four of the 18 goals in the opening 15 minutes. Luke Middleton opened the scoring for Serbia United when he rebounded a missed shot, originally saved by the Dynamo keeper. In the 8th minute, Andres Hinojosa barely got his foot to the ball, allowing it to sneak past the goalkeeper and slowly trickle into the net to tie the game. Just four minutes later, Serbia United re-gained their lead from Sasha Vukovic who intercepted a Dynamo pass and sent a powerful shot into the back of the net. Serbia United would not keep their lead for long as in the 13th minute, Felipe Rech beat the keeper to the ball and knocked into the net to make it 2-2.

In the 19th minute, Serbia United scored two successive goals from Bojan Samardzija and Sasha Vukovic. To start, Samardzija tapped in a strike that was originally slowed down by the Dynamo. Vukovic followed in the same minute with an interception from kick-off and long strike, proving to be too high for the keeper. Just before half-time, Samuel Deschenes cut the lead to 4-3 after tapping in a shot that originally hit the inside of the crossbar and stayed out. Serbia United led at half-time with a one goal lead.

Immediately following half-time, Serbia United went right back on the attack in the 25th minute. Their high press forced MFC Dynamo into a mistake and Vukovic pounced on the ball then hit a shot with conviction that went off the post and in for his hat-trick. MFC Dynamo answered back in the 28th minute to make it 5-4. Vaclav Cahyna’s strike from a long way out was powerful enough to beat the keeper even from such a far distance. In the 31st and 35th minute, Vukovic and Samardzija extended Serbia United’s lead again. Samardzija’s goal was a penalty and Vukovic’s goal was a clean 1-on-1 put through the legs of the keeper. In the 36th minute, Mike Lazarevic dribbled all the way from his end to MFC Dynamo’s end and sharply put the ball away. Middleton’s shot was originally saved in the 41st minute but he rebounded his own miss and passed to Samardzija for another powerful goal. By the end of the game, Samardzija would combine for three more goals, bringing their totals to five a-piece. In the dying moments of the second half, Cahyna and Hinojosa would add two more for MFC to end the game at 12-6.

After a triumphant start in game one, Serbia United followed up their opening win with a just as dominated second game as they look like the best team in the league. MFC Dynamo will Iook for positives heading into the next week’s after splitting their first two games.
